Planning Permission

Planning permission, or planning consent, is the permission required when residents of the UK are looking to build on land, change the use of land, convert or extend part of their home.

The good news is that from October 2008 the majority of homeowners no longer need to get planning permission when extending their existing homes or converting part of their properties into living space so long as you meet certain criteria. This covers extensions, loft & garage conversions and creating new driveways.

That being said, this won’t apply to every project so if your extension, conversion or new build does require planning permission then we can handle all the plan designs, application process for you.

Building Regulations

The Building Regulations set standards for the design and construction of buildings, primarily to ensure the safety and health for people in or around those buildings, but also for energy conservation and access to and about buildings.

All extensions, conversions and new builds fall under the guidance of Building Regulations but again we take care of all Building Notice applications and get your project passed through each and every check including completion.

Completion Certificates

Although these certificates fall under building regulations we feel they need to be highlighted. After the completion of each project there is a final ‘completion’ check carried out by the visiting inspector who will then issue a completion certificate for your records.
